A set of three handmade minimalist wooden Christmas decorations in the style of Christmas trees; a modern interpretation made with traditional natural materials and techniques.
 
These trees have been made from some wonderful spalted beech salvaged from local storm damaged scottish beech trees. Spalting is a process that occurs naturally as the wood ages. It creates unique and interesting patterns that are only visible once the wood has been cut.  
 
The photos show an example of the patterns and markings to expect on this product. All our products are made to best show the mix of lighter and darker spalting colours and so each item will have it's own unique pattern.  The item you receive will be one of a kind.
 
We have been careful to ensure that each trio of trees has been made from the same source wood, so that they match as a set.
 
On these items, a water based lacquer was used to capture the spalting colours clearly (if you would perfer a darker oil finish then please get in touch as these items can be made to order).  The base of the larger tree is branded with our "anyfink, Made in Scotland logo.
 
Each set of three measures approx:
Large : 15cm wide by 16cm tall or 6" wide by 6.5" tall
Medium: 10cm wide by 11cm tall or 4" wide by 4.5" tall
Small : 6cm wide by 7cm tall or 2.5" wide by 3" tall
All are approx 3.5cm or 1.25" thick
